April Is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the goal of this safety initiative is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual assaults and violence.

The National Organization for Women’s Safety Awareness, Inc. (“the NOWSA”) is a 501(c)(3) charity and its goal is simple - to help prevent crime and violence against women of all ages and from all walks of life.

Did you know that EVERY 2 MINUTES someone in the United States is sexually assaulted?

What can any woman do to dramatically decrease her chances of being the victim of violence?

Join us on the “Everything Lidia Radio Show” on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 6:30 PM on WGBB 1240 AM or streaming live online at www.am1240wgbb.com when Lidia, Founder and Executive Director of the NOWSA is joined by her special guest, Fran Petito, the charity’s Director of Marketing and they discuss, among other issues, recent incidents of sexual assault in the New York metropolitan area, what the NOWSA is doing to raise awareness about sexual assault and other acts of violence and the secrets to successful crime avoidance, whether at the hand of a stranger or an acquaintance, which include simple yet powerful and highly effective defensive maneuvers as taught by Lidia in her "Stylish Safety™ Women's Safety Awareness Seminars."
